She has studied and taught movement, bodywork, rehabilitation and coaching broadly over the past 28 years while working directly with patients, clients, and students full-time in a variety of settings. She knows without a doubt that an attitude of curiosity combined with persistent daily practice & play changes lives. Dana is a Precision Nutrition Master Health Coach, Orthopedic Exercise Specialist & Corrective Exercise Specialist, Senior Fitness Specialist, Meno-Strength Coach & 3rd Age Woman Certified, and Cooper Institute-trained Wellness Coach and Certified Personal Trainer (CI-CPT & ACE). She is also a HeartMath Certified Practitioner, Experienced Registered & Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher (E-RYT, TIYT, RYT500). They're a great fit for anyone experiencing recurring pain and tension they want to shift for good, anyone seeking to begin a fitness program later in life, during and after pregnancy, anyone with previous injuries, joint replacement and/or chronic conditions (scoliosis, auto-immune, arthritis, etc) that make standardized workout routines (i.e. group classes, apps & traditional fitness programming) a poor fit, anyone interested in enhancing or restoring pelvic floor function in movement for spinal support and increased power, anyone trying to modify their sports movement (dance, lifting, golf, yoga, row, etc) for long-term health and extended play, and anyone who just wants to learn how to move with more ease and less pain in their daily life.
Online group classes are convenient, accessible, and fun! We focus on the practice of gentle functional movements with chosen resistance, gentle mobility training, balance and breath training to ensure that you leave feeling energized, expanded, and empowered! MAT class combines gentle work that enhances your ability to move through your days from deep sources of strength, with mobility and breathing exercises that enhance recovery and rest. You'll want a mat, resistance band(s), and any supportive props you like for comfort in sitting and in lying on a mat. STRENGTH class is designed to support women dealing with an osteopenia diagnosis (or trying to prevent one) in learning to strength train at home safely and build healthy bones for the long-term.
Consistent practice of new skills in small doses, done with kindness and patience toward yourself and the process, will get you where you want to be.
