In moments where we're seeing the unbelievable, the very challenging, the depressing, there is always an invitation. How will we use the challenge and our response to it to grow, to become even more of who we are? What is the invitation tucked inside this moment of your life? As I ask myself this question today, I find answers: The invitation is to become a better leader: even more ethical, even more caring, even more kind and clear and knowledgeable. The invitation is to bring my best self forward in my interactions with others, to celebrate that, and to celebrate others when I see them bringing the best of themselves to the larger world. The invitation is to keep seeking love even when it feels natural to hate and judge. This does not mean inaction, and it does not mean silence. It means that the words and actions that I offer - even in disagreement - may arise from a different place than hate or derision. It means the seed of word and action is something higher. The invitation is to retain and continue to cultivate discernment, to value truth and to shine a light on those who speak it. To value learning and growth, and to highlight those to promote them. The invitation is to treat integrity, honor and compassion like the most desirable qualities that any leader, friend or stranger could express or seek to cultivate. The invitation is to grow peace larger than fear. To do the things that feed peace and joy, every day, until those states are consistently greater than any fear that arises among us. To grow them large enough to share them widely, as states of being. The invitation is to be and express peace and love rather than fear. What are the invitations that LIFE is offering YOU today? This moment? This year? Dana Wyss Healing Arts Breathe deeply, practice often, be well http://www.danawyss.com/
