If after viewing Breathwork for Beginners, you're feeling ready for the next step in your breathwork practice, this is it. Always when practicing breathwork, we want to remain calm and relaxed, and to be easy with ourselves. We never force the breath, and we never practice to the point of tension or anxiety. If any of these things arise, we stop immediately and return to our normal breathing. If done while keeping the above in mind, the practice depicted in this short video is safe for the average person, and will give you plenty to work with and focus on for awhile. If you'd like help establishing or deepening your yoga practice, contact me today so we can discuss your needs and get you started on a daily personal practice. Until then, breathe deeply, practice often, and be well. Dana Wyss Healing Arts Breathe deeply, practice often, be well. http://www.danawyss.com/

Awareness of the breath is integral to the practice of yoga. While most breathwork practices are best learned under the skillful ongoing guidance of a teacher you have practiced with over time, the concepts in this video are appropriate for beginners.** Hopefully this gives you an idea of where to place your attention and how to begin to prepare yourself for working with the breath. You may notice that just bringing attention to how you're breathing can start to change how you're breathing. If you find your interest in breathwork and yoga growing, please contact me to discuss how we can work together to help you begin your practice. Breathe deeply, practice often, be well. A good yoga teacher will help you: prepare yourself in the necessary ways; find the specific breathing practices that can help (and not hurt) you; recognize and remedy any difficulty related to your breathwork practice. This is not something to learn outside of a regular, ongoing student/teacher relationship. Thank you.** |
