What is the practice for? In yoga, we do not have to become anyone we are not. It’s just about recovering who you are, re-membering all that you really are. It’s about clearing our awareness of detritus and conditioning, so that we’re more and more able to see things, ourselves, and others as they truly are. What aids us in clearing our awareness over time? Be friendly and deeply present. Allow life to bring you support and joy in the ways it does, and open yourself to these 🙏 Be compassionate when meeting suffering (in ourselves and others). When pain and hardship are present, offer kindness and empathy 🙏 Let beauty inspire. Look for the beauty in others, in the situations you observe, and in the world. Seek them out, notice them. Let these deeply inform your perception of humanity, this world, this life 🙏 When situations, or other people, are disturbing or behaving badly, observe these intently - remain fully present - but as if from a high vantage point, with space. Remain equanimous, that your steadiness may serve to bring forth a skillful response 🙏 Practice is a long term, steady, sequential process - we’re not expected to master these overnight. We can take these intentions into any area and every area of our lives, allowing each moment and every day to bring us plenty of opportunities to try and try again 🙏 Dana Wyss Healing Arts Breathe deeply, practice often, be well. http://www.danawyss.com/
