I have been meeting with Dana weekly via Zoom to address balance/mobility issues related to back problems. I have found her to be quite skillful at identifying the particular physical/muscular causes of one's problem and prescribing exercises and practices to address them. Dana is such a wonderful source of support, education, and healing. I have been taking her classes for the last 5-6 years. Her way of honoring what is happening in our bodies, helping us to pay attention to subtle shifts, and encouraging just the right amount of challenge and rest is deeply nourishing. I have been working with Dana Wyss for 5 years now, transitioning from in-person to online (after COVID) and the transition has been seamless due to Dana's amazing ability to really see a person via the computer. It really is as if you are working with her in person EVERY session. She can help monitor your progression and adjust the session to your specific needs, giving feedback on your exercise, stretches and posture. She can tell when you may be struggling and need a modification. And she does all of this with the most nurturing, professional, and compassionate tone and suggestions. I have worked with a lot of different therapists and trainers over the years and Dana is by far the best. She has an excellent grasp of anatomy in general and understands a multitude of conditions, both medical and orthopedic. Lastly, she is always a ray of sunshine full of positive and nurturing spirit who helps energize and support me through very long caregiving days. Been working with Dana for a long time, the past 5 years over Zoom. She's always been very flexible, always picks up on time, and has cancelled on me maybe once or twice in all that time. She will work to help you achieve what you want: strength, flexibility, or just a time to relax. She keeps up to date and has useful advice regarding exercises and recovery. I've gotten good sets of stretches I work into my gym routine. She can (even mid-session) adjust to accommodate your aches, injuries, level of fatigue and skill. She also tolerates my dogs stopping by to "help" me pose by licking my face or barking like crazy to warn me of an approaching Amazon delivery. Or a delivery next door, random people walking down the street, the occasional squirrel...
Anyway, I think she's great and definitely worth your trying out her services.
Move Well Sessions -- nothing better!
I have been feeling great since working with Dana. She facilitates a meditative exploration of what's happening in one's body--mainly through stretches and gentle movements. You gain self-awareness and knowledge that go deeper and last longer than someone telling you what's "wrong" with you and then "fixing" you. Dana's approach lacks the judgment of such an overbearing method, and instead allows for exploration and camaraderie. It works. She eliminated my back pain in 3 sessions.
Continues to amaze
I have been seeing Dana regularly for a number of years. She has been my go to help with injuries, wellness routines, and chronic muscular pain. She not only cures my muscle aches and pains but astonishes me with her knowledge of the body and how the muscles work or don't work on it. This knowledge gives to me information that helps maintain the healing work she performs and break old habits of bad posture, gait, and muscle use.
The Absolute Best!
I have experienced therapy in many countries and by far Dana is the best. Her work is also her avocation. She has helped me get rid of pain, work towards keeping it away and worked towards whole body awareness. She has taught my "mind's eye" to see and helped me send my breath to places it did not know it could go!

There are few things I enjoy more than having a session with Dana. Regular sessions + advice on movement etc. have brought me to a pain-free neck (this is huge -- I've been in pain for years) and a continually improving lower back. I so appreciate everything Dana has done for me. Life changing...really!

I am a standard gym rat and decided to change things up and incorporate stretching and meditation into my routine. Dana is incredibly patient, understanding, and detail oriented. She works around my limitations but encourages me to better understand my body and how it’s components work in harmony. I’m very impressed.

From my first Move Well session with Dana I have noticed I am more aware of how I am standing or sitting, and make the gentle adjustments she taught me. I notice more strength and stability as I practice the exercises she suggested to build a strong foundation in my body. Her knowledge of the body and movement, together with her excellent communication skills were so helpful and truly impressive. I also felt calmer after the session and after I do the exercises she taught me.
My teenage boys, who are both athletes, did separate online movement sessions with Dana. Not only was she able to pinpoint why they were having the pain and limitations that they were, but she was also able to give them exercises to do. After both of them followed the protocol, the tightness and pain subsided.

She has helped alleviate discomforts such as mid-back pain, numbness in my right quad and very painful sciatic nerve compression. She took the time to share with me ways to sleep and stretch that would continue to help these discomforts. It is so nice to be able to enjoy nature walks with my dogs now that I am this far along in pregnancy. I would recommend Dana.

I have been seeing Dana for many years. Whatever new ache, pain, or issue - she always has multiple ways of addressing them. Over the years we have tackled my persistent headaches and I now have techniques to help combat them (though they are far less frequent).
